Let me preface this by saying that I am not a "kid person." I don't have children, and I can't see myself ever having children. I wouldn't mind being an uncle, but that is as close as I want to get to raising children. I'm not sure where this unnatural need to NOT reproduce came from. I just know that I feel very strongly about it.
Last night, a friend of mine brought over her toddler and new born. Both of her children are very cute and well behaved. Anytime the toddler did something that he wasn't supposed to, it wasn't out of blatant disobedience, he was JUST being a little kid. They don't know any better. And the baby was really cute and wasn't a crier. So my question is WHY do I feel so uncomfortable around them? It also occurred to me that I am relatively sure that I haven't held a baby since my sister was an infant., which is very strange in its own right. There's just something about them that makes me uneasy. For whatever reason, I have this bizarre aversion to them. I think that they are deceptively helpless. Perhaps they have a plan.
I recently read and article that explained how evil babies can be. It was nice to see that my views are validated by science. Check it out.
